Goodie Glovers - North End-Boston, MA

Head upstairs for good food and a great view of the Greenway or grab a drink at the bar downstairs - either way- its a great little spot to stop off. Nothing on the menu (with the exception of entire bottles of wine) are over $10. Sandwiches are great and come with a side salad for $8.95 and entrees are $9.95. We got a large side of sweet potato fries for $2.00 - you can't really beat that.

Who is "Goodie Glover" you ask? She was the last woman hanged in Boston as a witch. She, an Irish slave, was accused in 1688 of witchcraft and hanged on the 16th of Nov. Three hundred years later, the Boston City Council realized the injustice and made Nov 16, 1988 Goodie Glover Day. For more info check out the historical page:

If you decide to drive in, I suggest parking at Parcel 7 Parking garage (its across the street) - Goodie Glover's will validate you for up to 3 hours so parking will only cost you $3.
